Rain of Sparks

First Prize, 2025 MusiCurate Composition Competition.

"The present work seeks to emulate a celebration of lights in the sky, where the festivities on the ground are mirrored in the luminous brilliance of fireworks. Within the guitar idiom, this imagery is translated into sound through the combination of diverse timbral nuances, achieved by means of harmonics, both traditional and extended guitar techniques, as well as continual shifts in rhythmic patterns, tempo, and pitch." — Edgar Omar Rojas Ruiz

Includes the composer's performance directions for percussion, tambora, tapping, bending and nail glissando. Approximate duration: 5'00".
