Sylvia Rickard.
Sylvia Rickard (b. 1937, Toronto) studied composition with Jean Coulthard, and her prize-winning works have been broadcast on CBC radio and performed by renowned musicians in Canada and abroad. In 1999 she was the first resident composer at the Casalmaggiore International Chamber Music Festival in Italy. Her music is noted for its lyricism, drama and humour, and she is an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre.
