Three Preludes for Two Guitars (Rachmaninoff)
Three Preludes for Two Guitars (Rachmaninoff)
This set of three preludes by Sergei Rachmaninoff from Opus 32 was the very first transcription project of Bluvenduo.
From the artists:
We were, and still are, captivated by the vivid emotions that Rachmaninoff continually evokes, and we wanted to experience his music on our own guitars. For us, Prelude No. 5 conveys a sense of suspended, ethereal, and nostalgic calm; No. 10 illustrates a profound, interior, and conflicted dance between dark and light; and No. 12 sings of the thrill of freedom, yet not naively so, as though this prelude is also familiar with the depths explored in No. 10. On a more practical note, our own fingerings are included, and we have preserved the dynamic markings and articulations from the piano score as faithfully as possible.
