Aleksey Afromeyev was a Russian guitarist, composer, teacher, and publisher from Tyumen. Active in the early 20th century, he played an important role in developing Russian guitar culture. In 1906, Valerian Rusanov transferred ownership of the magazine Guitarist to Afromeyev, who continued its publication under the title Guitarist Music from 1907 to 1910 and later as Accord from 1911 to 1914. His compositions, including Dance of the Ghosts, reflect both his creative voice and his dedication to advancing the classical guitar in Russia through performance, composition, and publishing.
