Our Story

2023: Launching a Music School

MusiCurate was founded by Ben Lahring in 2023 as a music school, with the vision of making music fun and accessible for everyone.

2024: Expanding into Publishing

MusiCurate was reconfigured as a publishing company in 2024 to more effectively partner with composers and performers. MusiCurate continues to nurture music education through accessible, high-quality resources for students and teachers.

Curating old and new music of all styles, we prioritize story-driven relatability while making magical music accessible for all stages.

2025: The Classical Guitar Magazine

MusiCurate launched its bi-monthly classical guitar magazine in 2025. MusiCurate, The Classical Guitar Magazine is the life-giving, people-oriented music magazine, available worldwide in print and digital formats, with subscribers across North America, South America, Europe, Oceania and Asia.

2026: A Second Volume and a New Edition

The magazine entered its second volume in 2026, and the company brought everything under one name and one new look. Alongside the magazine, our sheet music catalogue continues to grow, with every edition graded from Level 01 through Level 10, and our annual competition invites arrangers from around the world to contribute to the repertoire.
