Emma Rush is "widely regarded as one of Canada's premier classical guitarists" (Vivascene Magazine), known for innovative programming, a powerful stage presence and a warm, virtuosic sound. Touring highlights include the Altamira Shanghai International Guitar Festival, the Festival de Guitarras Lagos de Moreno in Mexico and Sweden's Future Echoes Festival, and her playing has been heard on CBC, NPR's Classical Guitar Alive and Radio France. A dedicated researcher of overlooked composers of the 19th century, she released The Life and Times of Catharina Pratten, devoted to the Victorian guitar icon and her circle, in 2025; her MusiCurate editions grow out of that same research. Her 2025-26 season includes appearances across Canada, the Iserlohn International Guitar Symposium in Germany and a U.K. tour.
